The Group has an interest in conservation activities and has obtained a zoo license to allow it to undertake conservatory measures at its wildlife reserves at the Cherat and Mirpurkhas locations. It has worked extensively on the reintroduction of hog deer, chinkara, black buck, Urial sheep, patridge and peacock populations whose numbers have suffered due to the expansion of human habitats in the region.

To further the well-being of the local community, the Group has established Welfare Medical Dispensary in Nowshera which runs as a free aid clinic offering free basic medical care to patients with a special focus on helping the women of the area. This clinic hopes to benefit the local population who often have limited access to basic healthcare.

Keeping in view the needs of the local community, Cherat Packaging Limited has introduced a state of the art ambulance system that is for use by both the packaging plant and the local community. The ambulance is fully equipped with the latest medical equipment and is accompanied with qualified paramedic staff.

The Group firmly believes that Pakistan would benefit immeasurably from access to quality education. To contribute to the communities in which the Group operates, the Group has established, in collaboration with The Citizens Foundation, a school in the Shaidu village. The school serves both boys and girls and offers a robust education programme.

The Group continues to work with trusted institutions who offer quality services to the citizens of Pakistan in the medical and educational sectors. Previous partners have included the Agha Khan University Hospital, the Kidney Centre, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital Trust and the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute.
